Living with Chronic Fatigue Immunodeficiency
Chronic fatigue immunodeficiency is a condition that
affects the health and overall well being of those who suffer from it. It
manifests over a period of time to those who suffer from chronic fatigue
syndrome who do little to combat their condition. Once diagnosed with
chronic fatigue syndrome it is important to make a conscious effort to make
a lifestyle change that includes reducing stress, eating a healthy diet and
getting regular exercise. When it comes to reducing stress this can take
more drastic measures such as finding a less stressful job and in some cases
avoiding the stress that comes with certain interpersonal relationships. If
steps are not taken to reduce these stress levels their chronic fatigue
disorder can turn into chronic fatigue immunodeficiency which can lead to
increased doctor’s visits and even hospitalization.
If a person with chronic fatigue syndrome ignores the signs and symptoms of
this disorder there is a good chance they will be seeing their doctor more
than they wish. By ignoring the constant fatigue, feelings of illness and
loss of physical strength and mental acuity they are ignoring their bodies
need to repair it-self. Immunodeficiency from chronic fatigue lowers the
body’s natural defenses against infections. The body has trouble fighting
even the most mundane of sicknesses like the common cold, but because of
this immune deficit more serious infections like the flu or pneumonia can
have far more serious consequences. It is important that people who suffer
from chronic fatigue pay attention to how their body is functioning on a
daily basis.
By changing ones diet to include foods that are high in anti-oxidants,
protein, and calcium will boost the body’s immune system helping fight any
illness encountered. Potassium rich foods will also elevate the mood giving
the body a chance to counter the affects of chronic fatigue
immunodeficiency.
There is no cure for chronic fatigue but the condition can be monitored and
treated for the symptoms that occur. One of the first symptoms anyone who
suffers from this disorder should be aware of is stress. If stress begins to
take hold it is important to take time to relax which gives the body time to
recover. This is one of the reasons that making lifestyle changes such as
switching jobs and diet is important for those who are living with chronic
fatigue immunodeficiency. It takes some work and commitment to keep the
symptoms at bay but many people are able to live full and happy lives after
being diagnosed.
